Alternativni rock bend iz Finske, HIM, još jedan je u nizu sjajnih bendova. Bend je nastao 1991 godine a èine ga Ville Hermanni Valo, Janne Johannes "Burton" Purttinen i Mika Kirstian "Gas" Karppinen. Karijeru su zapoèeli kao Black Sabbath cover bend da bi kasnije postali His Infernal Majesty (HIM) pri èemu Ville Valo porièe bilo kakvu povezanost sa satanizmom. Prepoznatljivi su po simbolu koji oni nazivaju HEARTAGRAM.
On se sastoji od srca i pentagrama koji simbolizuje kontrast izmedju života ili smrti i mržnje ili ljubavi i mržnje zajedno. Ville je rekao :“Heartagram postoji zbog HIMa kao benda,kao entitet i za „Love metal“ generalno“. Uprkos svim prièama, HIM nije satanistièki bend. Oni su gothic love metal band.

Prvi album „Greatest Love Songs Vol. 666 “ ostavio je poseban peèat na skandinavski i nemaèki region. Na tom albumu izdvojio se hit „Wicked Game“ (obrada Chris Isaaka). HIM je omiljeni bend profesionalnog skejtera Bam Margere koji ima svoj show na MTVu pod nazivom Viva La Bam. Bamova kuæa je ukrašena velikim heartagramom. Glumica Juliette Lewis (pevaèica benda The Licks) pojavljuje se u njihovom spotu „Buried Alive by Love“ koji je režirao Bam Margera. Bubnjar benda HIM radi i kao prekusionista u extreme matal bendu „To separate the flesh from the Bones“.
